Benefits of the PLA materials we use
Contains no toxins or toxic fumes
Unlike other plastics, bioplastics don’t emit any toxic fumes when producing their final product or when they’re incinerated.
Biodegradable and Recyclable
PLA products achieve international standards biodegradation. It does require certain conditions to degrade quickly such as an industrial composting facility where it can break down in 45–90 days.
Two-thirds less greenhouse gasses
68% fewer greenhouse gasses are generated during its production procedure compared to normal plastics. The raw materials for most plastics require energy-intensive oil refining. Since plants get their energy from the Sun this plastic consumes nearly two-thirds less energy than traditional plastics.
Two-thirds less energy to produce
65% less energy is used during its production procedure compared to normal plastics.
Durable
Used in medical implants, industrial prototypes and countless household products. It is the most commonly used biodegradable polymer in clinical applications today. Examples range from, tissue engineering, implantable devices, screws, pins, plates, rods, etc.
Made from renewable materials
No petrochemicals are used. It is made from plant waste from crops that absorbed co2 when growing such as corn, sugar cane, beets, etc.
